Rush Hour

Well, I thought that my life was too boring for a blog, then we had major excitement all day. At least, what constitutes major excitement for small boys.

The first excitement of the day was when the neighbours got their wood delivered! That was an event! Caleb was inspired with awe by the sight of the "big truck" dumping the load of wood in their yard. Then, wonder of wonders, we got invited in and there were COMPLETELY NEW TOYS to play with. Toddler bliss.

As we were heading back home to have lunch and to make sure Abigail was indeed asleep and not dead, we saw a white vehicle in our driveway. At first I thought it might be the Vanna White the Eastwood van, but it was the RCMP. POLICE CAR!!!! HUGE DEAL!!!! lol

So it turns out that some deadbeat or other who used to live here is still using this address, so the RCMP ended up on my doorstep in an attempt to track the man down. I told the officer that said deadbeat's mail ends up in our box all the time, and the man he was looking for was not my husband, but by then Daniel had wormed his way into the driver's seat. (Is anyone surprised?)

And so (Joy, joy, joy!) the nice man let Daniel turn on the siren and the lights. Toddler bliss on a much, much deeper level!

So thank you, RCMP, for brightening our day.
